"Project management was a total clown show"
I worked with them on an app project, it was a mess. Deadlines kept getting pushed, the updates were vague, and I had to keep chasing these guys for basic answers. Total headache. It felt way more stressful than it ever needed to be.

"Not really worth it for product strategy"
We worked with willowtree.com on product strategy, i left feeling disappointed. The ideas weren’t anything we hadn’t already heard before, and they didn’t feel all that useful for our team. There were lots of meetings, decks, and big-picture conversations, but not much that we could actually put into action. It also felt like they didn’t really get our product or our users, which was frustrating. For what we paid, I definitely expected a lot more. I wouldn’t use them again.

"Honestly, it didn’t feel very professional"
I don’t know, the whole experience just felt a bit off to me. It seemed like they weren’t really taking things that seriously, and the replies were slow... plus when they did respond, it was usually short. Everything felt kind of scattered and unorganized, so yeah, not really a great experience on my end.

"QA just wasn’t good enough"
Had a frustrating experience with their QA. A lot of bugs slipped through, and things that should’ve been checked just weren’t. Felt rushed, and ended up having to point out basic issues myself. Definitely not what I was expecting

"Just wasn’t really worth it"
The work was sloppy. I expected better, but this just didn’t feel like it was done with much care. That kind of thing makes it hard to say it was worth it.

"Using the site was way more frustrating than it should’ve been"
I tried using the site on my phone it was a mess. It kept freezing or hanging every time I tried to do anything, which got old really fast. Then I went looking through the support pages thinking maybe I could figure it out, but those were confusing too. Like, why make it that hard to get basic help? After about 20 minutes of dealing with it, I just gave up.

"Delivery was "way" later than expected"
The order did show up eventually, but it arrived later than they promised. I was disappointed because I was counting on it being there on time, and the wait felt "too long."

"Way too expensive for what you get"
I was expecting a lot more for what they charge. The whole thing just felt overpriced, and the value really wasn’t there for me. At that price, I figured the quality or experience would stand out a bit more, but nope.
I’m fine paying extra when something actually feels worth it, but this was one of those “give me a break” moments. There are cheaper options out there that do the same job just fine, so I wouldn’t bother using them again.

"Wish I’d Read the Reviews First"
I wish I had read the reviews before going for this. A lot of things just weren’t made clear upfront, and it kind of felt like important details were hidden until later. Definitely left me regretting not looking into it more first.

"Felt like just another ticket after launch"
Everything seemed fine up until the site went live, but after that the support basically disappeared. I reached out a few times and didn’t get any real replies, which was frustrating. It felt like once the launch was done, I was just a ticket number in their system

"Took a while to get my issue fixed"
I’m not sure, but the whole process just felt slower than it needed to be. The fix did come eventually, but it was kind of late, and the instructions were a bit confusing at first

"Pretty slow to get a response"
Yeah, it just took way too long to hear back. I kept waiting and checking in, and when they finally replied, it wasn’t really that helpful anyway. So... not the best experience, honestly.

We went into it thinking the whole process would be smoother, but for us, more work it created instead. Our timelines kept getting pushed back, communication was kind of here and there, and for what we paid, the value just wasn’t really there. It messed with our plans and budget in a frustrating way. I wouldn’t use them again

"The design feels kind of messy and old"
I mean, the site works and all, but the design just feels clunky to me. Like, it looks a bit messy in places and kind of outdated, so it wasn’t the nicest experience to use.

"Slow replies and not much clarity"
My experience with Willow Tree was just okay. The biggest issue for me was the communication. Replies were slower than I expected, and a couple of times I had to ask the same question again before getting a clear answer. it gave me that “why is this so complicated?” feeling.
To be fair, they were polite whenever they did respond, so it didn’t feel rude or anything like that. I just spent a lot of time waiting and not really knowing what was happening, which got frustrating. Overall, not terrible, but definitely could be better.

"I was expecting way more creative..."
I was expecting way more creative ideas, but it all felt basic and a bit outdated. For a company that talks a lot about digital stuff, I just didn’t see much real innovation. If you’re looking for something new or forward-thinking, I’d say save your time.

"Honestly, I expected more technical depth"
I went into working with Willow Tree thinking they’d really dig into the technical side of things, but my immediate reaction after the calls was, “Wait, that’s it?” A lot of the advice felt surface-level, and when I pushed for clearer answers, things got vague fast.
They kept steering the conversation back to process instead of actually helping solve the issue, which got frustrating. Maybe they’re totally fine for more straightforward app projects, but for anything more complex, I wouldn’t go back. I just wasn’t impressed...
